The first ever Ghana Muslims Achievers Awards designed to celebrate the hard working young Muslims in our societies is slated for the 29th of January 2016.

Ghana Muslims Achievers Awards to be held on 29th January 2016
GMAA (Ghana Muslims Achievers Awards) which is organized by Sukura Concepts cuts across all sectors of the economy from Sports to politics through to traditional media.

The member added: 'Thus, it is without saying that this key segment of the Ghanaian population, contributing to the national life in various endeavors deserves further recognition in order to exemplify their support to national growth and development hence the rationale behind the first ever Ghana Muslims Achievers Awards.
On the 29th of January at the National theater, personalities will be celebrated in different forms such as Special Honorary Lifetime Achievement Award [Individual Honoree] – this is a special award to the His Eminence The National Chief Imam of Ghana, Shiekh Usman Nuhu Shaarubutu for his pioneering role in developing the life of Muslim in Ghana. Also His exemplary leadership qualities exhibited in unifying all the Muslim sects in Ghana under one umbrella.

Other awards are the Lifetime Achievement Award (Corporate/Entrepreneur), Lifetime Achievement Award (Education), Lifetime Achievement Award (International), Lifetime Achievement Awards (Sports and Entertainment) and Student of the Year which is said will go to the best JHS student of the year.
Aside that there will be such as Business of the Year (non-Muslim owned business yet having undertaken numerous CSR support for Muslim causes), Sports Personality of the Year, Creative Arts Personality of the Year (Music, Movie), Media Personality of the Year, and Media Programme of the Year.
Other general awards to be awarded are Educational Establishment of the Year, Political Personality of the Year, Social Activist of the Year, Female Personality of the Year and Education, Entrepreneurship, Business et al.
Finally the Muslim of the year, it is an award category that recognizes hard working Muslim Ulummas who have distinguished themselves in Preaching and Teaching Islam in Ghana and beyond.
