Ama K. Abebrese, Irene Logan, Anita Erskine, Peace Hyde & Others Attend Event

On March 27, women from all walks of life gathered at the Kaya Lounge Bar in Cantonments, Accra for the “More Than A Woman” event which was organized by Aim Higher Africa and powered by Pulse.com.gh.

'More Than A Woman', which was organized to celebrate exceptional woman in Africa as well as to encourage the development of women in various organizations and sectors, was attended by celebrities like Anita Erkine, Ama K. Abebrese, Irene Logan, Chantel Asante, Peace Hyde and Miss Malaika 2010, Ama Nettey.

The event kicked off with a red carpet which saw the celebrities and guests showing off their amazing styles, as well as sharing their views on celebrating womanhood. The stars took to the stage to encourage woman to achieve their dreams and impact societies. Singer, Irene Logan advised that women should be “confident and beautiful".

Ofie Kodjoe revealed that her organization will be going on a school tour dubbed 'Love Thing' to teach young women the need to love themselves and be confident in whatever they do. According to the singer and MTN Hitmaker judge, the young women will be tutored to love themselves and those around them. She added that 'Love Thing' aims to prepare the young women to become helpful women in the country.

Most of the guests who spoke to pulse.com.gh said they were happy about the idea of celebrating, encouraging and empowering women.  They also hoped the campaign would continue.  'More Than A Woman' was supported by Woodin, Paba Cosmetics and Martini Royale with media partner Viasat 1.
