Maiden Urban Festival launched in Accra

Urban Festival is a day-long arts festival that seeks to educate, develop, promote, support and create an avenue for rising arts performers.

Urban Festival is a day-long arts festival that seeks to educate, develop, promote, support and create an avenue for rising arts performers, especially those in the tertiary levels. However, the festival seeks to engage the general youth in its activities.

The maiden edition has been slated for March 3, 2018, at the National Theatre in Accra.

There will be series of events including a well-resourced workshop for participating youth, art exhibition and marketing from sponsors and stakeholders and the final music concert.

“Urban Festival is focusing on building the Ghana music industry and cultural heritage. Our target audience is the tertiary institutions and the general youth,” Kwesi Amoako, the Director of Operations at Chali Muzik told Pulse.com.gh in an exclusive interview.

Socrates Sarfo, Commissioner of National Commission Of Culture and Mr Abdul Abass, CEO of Idea123gh, musicians YawNanna, Tinny, Epixode and other newcomers were present to grace the launch of Urban Festival.
