The much-publicised concert came off at the Accra Sports Stadium but the BET Award-winning rapper – who was booked to perform alongside the Grammy winner – didn’t get the chance to mount the stage.

According to him, it wasn’t his fault – partially or indirectly blaming the organisers for his absence on the stage.

One of his fans who was at the event to see him quizzed on Twitter: “King @sarkodie some people bought ticket mainly to watch you perform. Please what happened?”

Sarkodie responded by apologising and added that it wasn’t ‘intentional’.

“Very sorry…definitely not my fault ... More info will be given... but you know I wouldn’t intentionally “not perform” See y’all at #Rapperholic2019” he tweeted.
