Celebrating Writers The '500 Word Festival' launched; submissions open to all writers

This is the inaugural edition of The 500 Word Festival and it will be held at the Antique Lemonade Gallery at Airport in Accra.

It’s a good time to be a writer in Ghana, following the launch of the much-anticipated inaugural edition of the 500 Word Festival.

The event will bring together writers of all genres to share their works and to interact with an audience on their respective projects.

From features, articles, poems, songs and anything that has to do with writing - the event simply seeks to celebrate writers and their arts.

Persons who wish to participate in the event can send their 500-word write-ups to the email, “word500festival@gmail.com”.

Submitted works should, and must, strictly comply with the 500-word maximum count in order to be considered.

Selected writers will be given the opportunity to share their work in front of an audience. 

Deadline for submission of works is 20th October, 2018.
