Accra Men’s Fashion Week launched, John Dumelo and two others as Ambassadors

Accra Men’s Fashion Week has been launched to take place from February 27-28, 2016 at the World Trade Center.

Speaking at the media launch last Friday at the Airport View Hotel, Mrs Dzifa Gadzekpo, Deputy Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts said “the Ministry is ever ready to support the youth who are willing to come up with such brilliant ideas to strengthen and promote Ghanaian culture and heritage.”

She applauded the organizers for initiating the Accra Men’s Fashion Week to showcase and support development in menswear and accessories in the country.

Nana Mensah, CEO of Fame Model Management, organizers of Accra Men’s Fashion Week has expressed his excitement at the maiden edition of this event. He added that the objective is to draw more attention to men’s fashion and accessories and grooming while at the same time promoting national culture.

The event which is slated for 27 and 28 February, 2016 will see designers from other African countries like Nigeria, Ghana, Togo and Benin amongst others.

The media launch event also revealed three (3) Ambassadors to include Popular Ghanaian Actor John Dumelo, Musician Nana Boro and Model Adams Abasigo; Winner of Mr. Model Ghana 2015 for their different roles in the fashion and style industry in Ghana.
