The best dressed at the 2016 Glitz Women of Year Honors

The Pulse Style team reviews what Ghanaian celebrities wore to the first edition of the Glitz Africa Women of the Year Honors.

It was not a wonder to see all the stylish men and women who thronged the maiden edition of the Women of the Year Honors in their very best. Here are a few our favorite celebrity styles from the night.

Sandra Ankobiah

The TV host and lawyer has been touted for long as a “sexy woman” and she knows that very well. She walked on the red carpet looking like a million bucks (or cedis, if you prefer cedis to dollars) in a front-slit lace gown with an organza sleeve. Her make-up was just as smooth and not a strand of hair out of place.

Berla Mundi

Whoever styles Berla Mundi is one of the best in Ghana and obviously deserves a medal. The OAP sizzled in a royal blue fishtail gown from Sima Brew.

Becca

Aside her eclectic performance, Becca’s strapless African Print (ankara) gown was one of the memorable things about her. Her gown accentuated her curves pretty well and the train that came with it put the spark on her look.

Lydia Forson

A celine wrap dress on Lydia Forson any day is a great idea.  It’s one of her best looks so far in a long while.

Caroline Sampson

We found Caro in an all-white look on the red carpet. White hair, white shoes and white cape dress. Divine, isn’t she?

Elikem Kumordzie

The former BBA housemate looked almost like a regal African in a black white caftan with a cap to match. It wasn’t bad after all, but it was exceptionally good too.

Jon Germain

The stylish Jon Germain had it going well for him a double-breasted jacket over his blue pants and tassels. This is why we love this guy so much.

Shirley Frimpong Manso

The producer/director has been on a lot of red carpets lately (considering she was a bit of a hermit) and manages to turn heads every time. The story wasn’t different at the Glitz Women of Year Honors red carpet. Her beaded strapless red and black striped gown from Duaba Serwa was everything. Whoosh!!!!!

Claudia Lumor

C.E.O of Glitz Africa, the organizers of the event also wowed in a red creation and she didn’t disappoint.

Salma Mumin

The actress got us swooning all over her in her little red dress with loud gathers on the side.  Can someone feel the Marilyn Monroe vibes on the carpet??

Grace Nortey

Veteran actress, Grace Nortey deserves another standing ovation for this kente skirt and a white lace top. We can only imagine what she looked like in her heydays (actually we know this from having watched all the movies she’s starred in).

Gwen Gyimah (Hair Senta)
