Ghanaian sisters, Ophelia Crossland and Velma Owusu-Bempah continue to lift the flag of Ghana high wherever they find themselves.
And during the just ended year of return which saw several diasporans and Hollywood A-listers visit the country, the duo were recognized for their hard work.
Tina Knowles Lawson, Mother of Grammy Award singer, was one of the celebrities who fell completely in love with their work. It appears that Velma has gotten into her books as a client as she was spotted holding her clutch in a photo.
In photos that were seen on social media and later shared on their brand pages, the two sisters thanked Ms Tina Lawson for her support.
“It was nice meeting up with u @mstinalawson #beyoncemother yesterday .Thanks so much #mstinalawson for loving and trusting in the brand and our pieces. We love you right back. Enjoy your pieces mum...”
Velma an award winning milliner and accessories designer has created designs for several personalities including the First Lady, Mrs Rebecca And Samira Bawumia.
Ophelia Crossland who is also fashion designer shared her thoughts about her experience with Ms.Lawson.
She wrote: “A big thank you to @mstinalawson, mother of #beyonce for having us during #theyearofreturn2019. She’s such a cool personality and her vibe was amazing. Thanks for supporting Ghanaian creatives.“
Beyoncé in the past has worked with several designers from Africa including Tongoro from Senegal and it’s likely that Ms.Tina will recommend the Ghanaian sisters as part of her ever-evolving fashion profile.
Tina Lawson was in Ghana in December as part of the full circle festival organized by Essence and Ghanaian Hollywood Actor, Boris Kudjoe, Marketing Maverick, Bozoma St.John and Ghana’s government
