Hatchbacks Suited for Families

1. Seat Leon Hatchback

After the 2017 updates on the SEAT Leon, it is now a stronger performer and can compete with other hatchbacks and SUVs in the family-car category.

The updates resulted in a more high-tech and assertive grille and front bumper. Its running gear is now similar to models like the Audi A3. This means that the SEAT Leon is not only desirable to look at, but it is also a high performer.

When it comes to safety, its strong body and standard safety kit makes it rank a full 5 stars. It also ranked 7th out of 75 cars in owner satisfaction. You can, therefore, be guaranteed of safety, performance and enough space to carry your family around to events and for errands with the SEAT Leon.

2. Volkswagen Golf Hatchback

The Volkswagen Golf is known for its impressive interiors like the handsome dashboard among other finishes. For a family car, however, the interior is low in priority because you want to be sure of the  safety and comfort of your loved ones.

You will be glad to know that the Golf has these features catered for as well. Safety features like autonomous emergency brakes ensure that you can steer the car off collisions. The hatchback model comes with extra space for all family paraphernalia, unlike its previous model.

It, however, retains the attractive qualities of the previous model, like driver satisfaction, durability and performance. These are important, considering the various uses by the family.

3. Hyundai i30 Hatchback

The Hyundai i30 Hatchback was made with families in mind. The model is big on safety features. It has standard fittings, autonomous emergency braking, headlights that automatically dip and even lane-keeping assistance.

The new Honda Civic Hatchback offers a more family-suited option. Though lower than the older model, it compensates on additional length and width; meaning more space for you to store your family’s luggage on trips.

Apart from space, the Honda Civic is also loaded with high quality safety features including autonomous emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. However, it ranked 4 stars in the independent crash testing.

5. Mazda3 Hatchback

The Mazda3 is definitely a car to consider when shopping for a family car. Its safety features include a 5 star rating from crash safety experts, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, airbags and autonomous emergency braking. For performance, the Mazda3 ranked 31st out of 75 cars tested for driver satisfaction.
