Effective communication in marriage

Communication can be verbal or Non-verbal. In a marriage relationship, the Non-verbal communication is picked up or noticed faster than the verbal relationship.

Effective Communication

Communication comes from Latin commūnicāre, meaning to share. It is the transmission of information from a sender to a receiver. Communication could be verbal or Non-verbal. It is a two way activity.

In a marriage relationship, the Non-verbal communication is picked up or noticed faster than the verbal relationship. There must be a reason for a communication activity to commence. That is the transmission of information.

For communication to be effective, the sender of the information has to understand the various factors that may inhibit the transmission of his information to the receiver. That is the sender must ensure that the information being transmitted gets to the sender in a way and manner that encourages and achieves the pre-determined objective of beginning the communication process.

Why most couples drift apart is that their manner of communication is random. It is not properly planned and factors that impede effective communication are not effectively taken care of or handled.
