This foreo cleansing brush got rid of the blackheads on my nose

I've been kind of (read: absolutely) obsessed with popping zits and squeezing blackheadssince struggling with severe acne in middle school. Even now, at age 25 and with relatively clear skin, I find a peculiar comfort and satisfaction in the release of popping a ripe zit.

But despite all the hours of pimple popping and blackhead strangling practice, I've never been able to quite rid myself of the pesky little blackheads on my nose. They've always just looked like large, overgrown pores (which I also have on my nose! #Blessed), and no matter what I've tried, they've been impossible to get rid of – until now, that is.

After trying the Foreo Luna Mini 2, I've never gone back to my popping ways. And even better, I haven't had to worry about blackheads. Despite my oily and at times sweaty tendencies, mine are almost completely gone. I've never gotten more compliments on my skin, including from skincare professionals.

The vibrating facial cleansing brush pulses across your facial pores to give them a deeper, healthier clean. It essentially feels like a polish and a massage in one, its bristles gently but firmly moving across your face as you shower or wash.

To that end, it's waterproof, which means you don't have to worry about making sure it's dry or mixing it with your cleanser (speaking of, I recommend this Sunday Riley face washor this Glossier cleanser in tandem with the brush). A full charge can last five months in the shower or bathroom for everyday use.

You can choose from eight different settings based on your preferences, with options ranging from gentle to aggressive. There are also two sides of the brush, which can cover large areas of your face, so you can decide whether you want soft or firm bristles.

In my case, the Luna Mini got into spots that my amateur popping tools (otherwise known as my hands) just couldn't. And it also makes sure that no leftover gunk or junk is in my pores to prevent future breakouts, something I might have missed during my scorched earth policy-style of pimple popping days.

Currently, the Foreo Luna Mini retails for $139 at Sephora. It doesn't come cheap, but to me, it's absolutely worth it, especially if you've tried everything to get rid of large pores or impossible facial blackheads.

That said, just in case you use the Luna Mini and miss the satisfying pop of a pimple, there's always Dr. Pimple Popper.

Along with my Foreo Luna Mini 2, I use this cleanser, exfoliant, and serum to decrease the visibility of my pores and keep my skin looking clear and youthful.

I put cleanser on my face, fire up my Foreo, and go to town with a scrubbing motion. Once a week, I do the same with the exfoliant instead for a deep clean. Each day, I follow up the cleanse with the serum, a toner, and a moisturizer.
