Tom Holland Saved a Fan From Getting Crushed by Crazy Autograph Seekers

Tom Holland is in the midst of a full-on press blitz for Spider-Man: Far From Home The 23-year-old actor was signing autographs, and spoke up for a young fan he saw in trouble. Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters in one week.

Tom Holland, Not Actually Spider-Man, Saved a Fan

We're just a week out from the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home , and everything is turning up a notch into Marvel overdrive. Tom Holland and Jake Gyllenhaal , who star in the film, have been doing a massive press tour, and must be exhausted after each long day of promotion. But that didn't stop Holland from speaking up to fix something that wasn't right.

The 23-year-old MCU star was signing autographs in New York on Monday night, when things started getting just a little too intense. His autograph crowd, apparently, had turned into a mix of die-hard fans, and grown adult men who chase autographs, and were pushing some of those fans around. A Twitter user named @NamelessCass shared her experience in the fray, mentioning that she was about to have a panic attack due to getting pushed into the barricade. Holland spoke up on her behalf, telling the men to back off, making sure she was OK in the meantime.

TOM HOLLAND JUST THREATENED GROWN ASS MEN THEN THREW THEIR POSTERS BECAUSE I WAS CRUSHED AGAINST THE BARRICADE HE SAID IM GONNA THROW YOUR SHIT ON THR GROUND IF YOU KEEP PUSHING HER then came to me and calmed me down and the video HES LITERALLY SO MAD AT GRAPHERS VKSBDKSN WHAT? - cass (@NamelessCass) June 24, 2019

She took a video too, and you can see Holland addressing the men, telling them to cut it out.

Its okay I got you I got you @TomHolland1996 This was absolutely INSANE and should NEVER happen....my neck was literally against the barricade with 30 grown men behind me pushing.... ridiculous how people act like youre not only endangering fans safety but Toms as well pic.twitter.com/uey9VVMfBJ - cass (@NamelessCass) June 24, 2019

My friend that was standing in the back took this video while it was going on......welcome to the clown show ! All of us there (fan wise) were literally like 52 with 30+ 6ft tall grown men pushing and basically climbing behind us pic.twitter.com/yIrlHL8j55 - cass (@NamelessCass) June 25, 2019

How about people just be respectful and act normal in a barricade woah who wouldve thought of that!!! This wasnt a concert or a show with a mf mosh pit this was a literal weak ass barricade in the middle of a nyc street.... - cass (@NamelessCass) June 25, 2019

The men pushing the girl in the fray are apparently 'graphers,' a name used for a group, typically older men, who collect autographs from stars and later sell them on Ebay or elsewhere for a profit.

im so glad people are justly calling out graphers (who are typically older men) because these grown ass adults shove and push teenage girls for an autograph that theyre gonna end up selling on ebay. - marry | ABOLISH ICE (@marryIopez) June 25, 2019

It's nice to see a star who can identify the right moment to speak out and stand up for fans-or anyone-getting taken advantage of. The Spider-Man star is wise beyond his years, and it looks like his propensity for helping those in need isn't exclusive to his on-screen adventures.
