The video features celebrity stylist E.J. King, who video chats his client Megan Thee Stallion from the hot seat. He has seen Dr. Lee before for a pilar cyst in the same area, which he says is due from his coarse hair growing inward. But Dr. Lee isnt sure if the growth is a pilar cyst at first, telling King and Stallion that it feels like a rock. When Dr. Pimple Popper excises the growth, however, its confirmed it is a pilar cyst.
Dr. Lee uses Pronox, or laughing gas, during the procedure to calm a visibly nervous King. You can even hear the effect the gas has on his voice.
How do I know its, like, working? King asks. He then proceeds to laugh uncontrollably, meaning its definitely working.
King does have a little trouble with the procedure, seeming to have a little more pain or anxiety than most. But the rock of a removal is definitely a full-on boulder. Theres a satisfying pop of the main portion of the cyst, then Dr. Lee has to dig around for portions of the cyst that have broken off. And theres many.
I can see your brain! Megan Thee Stallion jokes.
Pilar cysts are growths on the scalp that contain excess keratin , which is the protein that makes up your hair and nails. They can form with ingrown hairs buried inside.
But even after all the pain, King and Dr. Lee remain tight. King even promises to dress Dr. Lee for her next big event. A cyst for a gown what a trade off.
