For the March issue of Men's Health , we photographed 36 men from around the U.S. and representing each decade of post-teenage manhood: the 20s , 30s , 40s , and 50s (and beyond) . We wanted to know what it means to be fit at any age. But we also wanted to know who these men are. What better way to do that than by asking them about their dream ride?

Some of the pics were more modest, including a Range Rover, Honda Pilot-and for Glenn Hartrick, 37, something thats 4-wheel drive. (Glenns a practical man).
Some of them came from Hollywood, including the Delorian from Back to the Future, a muscle car from The Fast and the Furious, the Pontiac Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit. Oh, and someone said it would be nice to have that candy-apple red Ford Gran Torino with the white stripe and 537BEM license plate number, aka Starskys car from the original Starsky and Hutch TV show. A man knows what he wants.
Color was also nonnegotiable, and many channeled OG car manufacturer Henry Ford when he reportedly joked: You can have any color you want, so long as its black. Most of the younger guys wanted black.
But sometimes life changes and cars become less about you and more about who your ride with. Before it would have been a Corvette, admits Marco Antonio Santiago, 40. But now I guess its gonna be a minivan.
Doesnt matter what you road trip in, Marco. So long as youre doing it with the people you love.
