What's the Difference Between HBO Now, HBO GO, and HBO Max?

HBO Max is now available to viewers, and the streaming service isn't lacking for content in any way. In addition to classic HBO shows like The Sopranos and The Wire, you can also stream movies and TV shows like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Friends, Joker, and all of the Harry Potter movies.

However, WarnerMedia already controls two other streaming sites with the 'HBO' brand name attachedHBO GO and HBO Nowand fans are wondering just what the difference is between all of the streaming options. Here's what you need to know.

HBO GO is the streaming, online version of HBO, but you can't buy it directly, as it's only for people that have HBO as part of their cable package. HBO Now is pretty much the exact same thing as HBO GO, but it's a standalone service for those that dont have a cable package.

As for HBO Max, it's like HBO Now because you get all of HBO's original programming, but the 'Max' part comes into play because it also includes content from Warner Media's other brands and networks, including Warner Bros., New Line Cinema, DC Entertainment, TBS, TNT, TruTV, Cartoon Network, The CW, Turner Classic Movies, and Adult Swim.

So basically, you get the most content on HBO Max. HBO Max, in essence, is WarnerMedia's version of Disney+ .

HBO Max is $14.99 a month with a 7-day free trial, and you can get it through the official site , the HBO Max app, or other streaming sites like Hulu and YouTube TV.

Current HBO NOW subscribers get access to HBO Max for no additional cost, and if you subscribe to HBO through one of these providers , you also get access to HBO Max for no extra cost.
