This year's Met Gala set for later today 4th April 2015 has been declared social media-free zone as use of cellphones for photography and social media is banned

The 2015 MET Gala is rousing to an interesting start, reportedly unlike last year where fans had a minute by minute account of what went down at the Metropolitan Museum's annual Costume Institute Gala (MET Gala) via social media, this year's edition set for later today 4th April 2015 will be different as this edition has be declared a social media-free zone.

Vogue's Anna Wintour is reported to be in charge of making sure that the regulation holds, so cellphones for photography and social media are banned from this year's event. (last year's came with a handful of drama)

It was revealed that the move was put in place for high profile guests in attendance to  enjoy their privacy to the fullest, so once the attendees exit the red carpet every other part of the show inside the venue would have to be imagined!

Hopefully that doesn't extend to red carpet.
