All Galaxy S6 phones don't have the same camera

Samsung Galaxy S6 Camera

Samsung has reclaimed the title of best Android smartphone with the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge smartphones, and a major part of the phones appeal is the excellent 16-megapixel camera they both carry.

However, not every of these handsets have exactly the same camera, as it turn outs. Some use a Sony IMX240 imaging sensor while others come equipped with Samsung’s own ISOCELL sensor.

This seems to be an effort to even out the inadequate supply of whichever sensor was Samsung’s first choice, and isn’t determined by whichever variant of the phone you buy.

According to the verge, Samsung says it sets stringent quality standards for the user experience of its phones and does not use components that don’t live up to those expectations. In other words, every phone gets the awesome 16-megapixel camera regardless of the kind of hardware inside:

"The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge utilize camera sensors from several different vendors. Like all of the technology used in our products, they meet our strict global quality and performance standards." says Samsung.

Samsung refused to elaborate on how different both sensors are distributed geographically, or the particular reason why a universal part was not used across the entire range.
