Meet Prince Adu-Appiah

TEDxAccra 2015 will take place on April 11 at the National Theatre from 7am to 7pm. It is expected to be the biggest TEDx event in Ghana to date. The theme for this year is “The Next Chapter”.

Prince Adu-Appiah is a young and passionate African Leader, Social Entrepreneur, Youth Activist and an Inspirational Speaker. He is the founder and Director of 1Billion Africa – a problem solving movement and organization in Africa that seeks to transform the continent through “turning problems into projects”. Prince made two key discoveries early in life; that leadership is his passion, and that Africa’s way forward is good leadership. He has thus decided to stay committed to leadership development and good leadership practices, beginning with his sphere of contacts. He has led and volunteered in many youth empowerment and leadership development groups, committees and organizations including; the Human Empowerment & Living Potentials Group, Oxbridge Africa Mentorship Programme and Hult Prize at the University of Ghana. Prince loves children, travelling and making new friends.

Why should listen to his talk:

I love Africa, and I believe in the potential of Africans. My team and I in 1Billion Africa believe that once Africans develop the “victors mentality” instead of the victim’s, Africa’s transformation is within reach. I trust that if Africans, especially the youth of the continent, come together with the goal to help turn problems around us into projects, to empower and to create opportunities for ourselves, then individuals, homes, communities and countries in Africa would be transformed. I believe in leadership development, mentorship, hard work & ideas sharing. I am committed to helping to make the world a better place.
