- Ariana Grande posted a new tattoo on Instagram of leaves spilling across her ribcage.
- The new ink surrounds a tattoo of the word "always," which she got while she was dating comedian Pete Davidson.
- Grande and Davidson split in October, but she says the new art isn't a cover up.
Before Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson's whirlwind romance ended last October, the couple got a lot of ink together. One of Grande's tattoos was the word "always" inked on her ribcage. A new Instagram post shows she's reworked that body art.
The singer shared a photo on Sunday of a new tattoo: a leafy vine branching across her left rib cage, with "always" sitting in the middle of one of the leaves. Grande tagged Mira Mariah , the artist responsible for her latest ink. The 'thank u, next' singer didn't say whether the tattoo was complete, but the caption suggests she won't be adding color to the leaves. "Not a cover up, just evolvin," she wrote underneath the photo.

In the past, Grande has completely covered up ink she got with Davidson. In October , her Instagram story revealed she'd changed the "Pete" tattoo on her ring finger and did the same for the word "reborn."
The caption also reminded fans that her Sweetener tour starts tomorrow in Albany, New York. "i love u and im so grateful. see u soon," she wrote. It's the first time shes toured since her Dangerous Woman tour in 2017. During that tour, a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device at her Manchester Arena show, killing 22 people and injuring 59. It left her with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) , a mental health condition that is triggered by experiencing or witnessing a terrifying event.
"Evolving" seems to be the word to sum up Grande's style recently. When the 25-year-old singer performed "Needy" last week at the iHeart Radio Music Awards, she traded her signature long sweatshirt and thigh-high boots for plaid pants, a black bralette and an oversized button-down.
Of course, she still lookedand soundedamazing.
