Demi Lovato Just Shared A Broken Heart Emoji On Her Instagram Stories, And It Could Be About So Many Things

Demi Lovato Shares Broken-Heart Emoji
  • Demi Lovato posted an image of Ariana Grande's song Imagine on her Instagram stories, complete with a broken heart emoji.
  • The singer's post comes just a few hours after her love interest Mike Johnson asked actress Keke Palmer on a date on national TV.
  • It's unclear whether the two events are related, or it's just a coincidence.

Just when you think everything is coming up roses, there is a heartbreak. For singer Demi Lovato there's a broken heart emoji, but it certainly could allude to a heartbreak IRL, too.

The "Confident" singer shared Ariana Grande's "Imagine" on her Instagram stories earlier this afternoon, complete with a single broken heart emoji. If you haven't been following the recent news of Demi's love life, you might totally disregard the post. (It is only a single slide without any sound or additional text, after all.)

However, she coincidentally posted the song and emoji right on the heels of The Bachelorette alum Mike Johnson asking another celeb out on a date. ICYMI: Mike recently shared that he and Demi Lovato went on multiple dates and even kissed .

But now, Mike just asked out Hustlers actress Keke Palmer on Monday morning's edition of Strahan, Sara & Keke. For the record: Keke avoided answering his question while hiding behind her interview cards. (Maybe he forgot he's no longer in The Bachelor mansion and multiple girlfriends aren't the norm IRL?)

Peep her post and decide for yourself.

While the broken heart emoji could be a reference to Demi's romance with Mike being on the rocks, it could also be a reference to her friend Thomas's recent death from a drug overdose . It should be noted that Ariana Grande originally wrote the song about her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, who also died of an overdose.

Either way, Ariana's lyrics, "Knew you were perfect after the first kiss / Took a deep breath like, 'Ooh' / Feels like forever, baby, I never," paired with broken heart emoji certainly seems like it could be, well, something.
