GEMINI (MAY 21JUNE 20) Gemini is like the popular girl of the zodiac, says Montfar. They are fun, beloved, and also real chatterboxes. "If you go around your office and youre chit-chatting all the time, what does that mean?" she asks. "You are easily distracted." (Uh oh.) While Geminis are great at multitasking and seeking out new areas to study, they can have trouble finding focuses and meeting deadlines. Another challenge: Geminis do not like repetitive tasks and need constant stimulation. "They can talk a lot about their plans and get so busy talking about it that they dont focus," says Montfar. "They are so curious about things and are easily bored. Thats why a lot of them end up leaving jobs." (Two classic Gems? Kanye West and Donald Trump, so...there's that.) CANCER (JUNE 21JULY 22) Cancer is a water sign ruled by the moon, and if theres one thing I know for sure, its that water signs are hella emotional. This sign, in particular, can be very sensitive and moody, which is both a strength and weakness, says Montfar. "Cancers are very good at finding solutions to problems," she explains. "Its like they know what youre thinking before you say it." Montfar recommends Cancers take emotion out of the equation when it comes to working tasks. "Cancers can be overly emotional about things," she adds. "But they have to be realistic and not make it about them. Its about the project, its about the company. Its not about you." A lot of Cancers manage this by presenting as tough on the outside while staying soft on the inside, says Montfar. Weaknesses in a Leo (though theyll tell you they have none) include their idealistic view of the world and skyscraper-sized egos. "Leos are leaders," says Montfar. "Some of them struggle a little bit with letting other people be in the spotlight." Former President Barack Obama, Jennifer Lopez, and Madonna are all Leosnuff said. In the workplace, the desire to take charge can make you seem like a little bit of a control freak. Leos will benefit from helping others learn to lead and letting them take the reins on certain projects, Montfar says. "When they listen to their herd, they succeed. VIRGO (AUGUST 23SEPTEMBER 22) Theres nothing a Virgo loves more than a good spreadsheet. People with this sign, ruled by Mercury, are known for their fierce intelligence and insightful analysis. "I am of the thought that every successful team needs a Virgo," says Montfar. "They are the one who is going to know the numbers, percentages, for everything on a project." The biggest weakness of a Virgo? Their drive toward perfectionism. Beyonc is a Virgo and though the whole planet has benefited from bountiful blessings, thanks to her drive toward goddess-like status, it's important to create a balance. "It is their nature to believe others cant do things as well as they can," says Montfar. "Virgos will benefit from delegating. If they take on too much, they will get super anxious." LIBRA (SEPTEMBER 23OCTOBER 22) Libras thrive in artistic settings and need time to nurture their creative projects. This can be a bit of a challenge in a regular office setting (just ask Pam), but Libras are very "in tune with who they are" and can still make it work, Montfar says. People with this sign are diplomatic and make great mediators, she adds. "They are always worried about the underdog." (Because, ya know, they want to keep things fair.) In some Libras, this can lead to difficulty with decision-making, Montfar says, which can create problems among coworkers. "Libras are dramatic and can take forever making a decision," she explains. "The bigger the decision, the longer they take to get everyones opinion." To overcome this problem, try giving yourself a time limit when weighing the pros and cons in the decision-making process, Montfar suggests. Libras can also fall into a people-pleasing trap, so remember to stick up for yourself. As for career fields, a Libra can own the HR department or the judges chambers, Montfar says. SCORPIO (OCTOBER 23NOVEMBER 21) Scorpios are passionate and very intense. (As a Scorpio myself, I will add brilliant and beautiful to that list.) But that singular drive and commitment can come across as overly ambitious and, sometimes, just plain scary. "When a Scorpio wants something, they do everything to get it. Its pretty rare that they dont," says Montfar. On the flip side: "When a Scorpio's heart is not in what they do, they just cannot do it." While this ability to dig in at work can be a good thing, Scorpios need to find a balance between excitement and obsession. Finding time for small talk and sharing with your coworkers can work wonders for Scorpios. It can help you feel more engaged with the world around you, not just zeroed in on your latest fascination (which may or may not be office-related). There are some notable powerhouse Scorpios in the working world: Anna Wintour and Hillary Clinton, to name a few. But Scorps should be mindful of the people around them, so you dont become so laser-focused on work that you act insensitive to others' needs, says Montfar, another badass Scorpio. SAGITTARIUS (NOVEMBER 22DECEMBER 21) Sagittarius is a fire sign, a.k.a. the total opposite of the analytical Virgo. These peeps are eternal optimists, who think in the abstract. They're focused on the big picture, not so much on the details. "Sagittarius is like 'lets talk about world domination,'" says Montfar. "They are not groundedits like the fire keeps pushing them up." While philosophizing on a planetary takeover is a noble focus, sure, Sags can get so preoccupied with the big questions of the universe that they procrastinate on the task at hand. "Sometimes, theyre going around in circles," says Montfar. Sticking to a timeline and a budget can help Sagittarius get things done in real time. CAPRICORN (DECEMBER 22JANUARY 19) Capricorns are the workaholics of the zodiac. You've got amazing determination and have the makings of an excellent leader or CEO of your own company. "A lot of Capricorns have big jobs; they are incredible people," says Montfar (who's been married to two Capricorns, btw). They're also ruled by Saturnthe planet of responsibility. This can make for a person preoccupied with climbing the ladder of success, as they say. Simply put, Caps were born to achieve, says Montfar. In some cases, the brilliance of a Capricorn can lead to condescension when talking to others not functioning on their high vibration. Make sure to keep a work/life balance, Cap, and please dont act like a freakin robot. "Just because you are a successful person doesnt mean you cant be a human," says Montfar. AQUARIUS (JANUARY 20FEBRUARY 18) Aquarius is the rebel of the zodiac, says Montfar. They are unflappable, intelligent, and amazing with wordswritten or spoken. One problem with the *genius* of an Aquariusyou dont like being told what to do. Stanley "Did I Stutter" Hudson, from The Office, was very Aquarius in this respect. IRL, Oprah Winfrey, the boss of all bosses, is an Aquarius. "They make great freelancers and writers," says Montfar. "They write on their own time and dont have to show up for a 9-to-5 job. Respect for authority is not built for them." Many Aquarians are scientists and innovators, too. Either way, you're best left alone so you can channel your energy into your work. "They perform their magic best when they dont have someone breathing down their neck," explains Montfar. Looking to improve at work? "Pisces are really good at materializing an idea. When they dream it, they see it and can explain that idea to you," Montfar says. Youre not likely to find a Pisces running revenue at a company.
