But Kim had a serious slip recently on the Ellen DeGeneres show when she accidentally revealed that she and Kanye West are expecting a girl.
Despite reports for months that Kim and Kanye are expecting a baby via surrogate, Kim and her family took a while to confirm the news.
“We had a baby shower over the weekend, and I thought, 'You know, I really do want to have a baby shower because I want her to feel that something's coming and for her to really understand it,'” Kim said of prepping her 4-year-old daughter North for becoming a big sister again.
“So people brought toys and gifts and she was opening them all up the next day,” Kim continued. “[North] said, 'Mom, since baby sister's not here, I think I need all of the toys in my room and I'll play with them and just make sure they're all okay for baby sister.''
Ellen pointed out that Kim just revealed the baby’s gender, and Kim confirmed it: “Yes it is, it's a girl.”
Despite reports for months that Kim and Kanye are expecting a baby via surrogate, Kim and her family took a while to confirm the news, and did it indirectly in a trailer for Keeping Up with the Kardashians in late September.
Suspicions about the baby's gender began to arise when Kim threw a cherry-blossom-themed baby shower this past weekend, featuring tons of pink blooms.
Kim says she’s struggled with having a lack of control during this pregnancy. “Anyone who says or thinks it is just the easy way out is completely wrong,' she said. 'I think it's so much harder to go through it this way.”
Kim’s baby is reportedly due in January.
