To celebrate the good news, the couple posted a series of photos on their joint Instagram account showing off Laurens bump, an ultrasound photo, and a sign that reads: Rainbow after the storm. With the sign, the couple is referring to the term: rainbow baby, which is typically given to children conceived after a miscarriage which, in this case, is the storm.
And as another tribute, the couple included a balloon in their photos to honor the miscarried baby who they named Asa.
Its hard to fully express just how grateful we are for God blessing us again with another precious gift! the couple wrote in their caption. So, as we rejoice of the life of our second sweet baby, we also remember (balloon as symbolism) our other sweet baby, Asa, in heaven. God is so incredibly good!
Lauren suffered a miscarriage in October, and after a few months of keeping the news to themselves, the couple wrote a message to their fans in February who were asking about the couples plans to conceive saying:
Our expectations of setting up a baby room, hearing the [heartbeat,] feeling the baby's first kick in mommys tummy, holding our little one and getting to to see our precious baby were - Shattered. Gone. Right before our eyes. Even though our sweet child is no longer with us, it is such a comfort to know that one day we will get to see our baby in Heaven!"
View this post on Instagram Many of yall don't know this, but a couple of months ago we found out we were expecting, however, soon after we miscarried. At first, we kind of wanted to just stay quiet about the news, but knew that since everyone is anticipating for us to announce that were having a baby, we felt like it was time that we told everyone that our first and only baby is in heaven. It is hard to hear when people asks us if we are expecting, when we only recently lost our baby. You can imagine it was devastating to the both of us. Our expectations of setting up a baby room, hearing the heart beat, feeling the baby's first kick in mommys tummy, holding our little one and getting to to see our precious baby were - Shattered. Gone. Right before our eyes. Even though our sweet child is no longer with us, it is such a comfort to know that one day we will get to see our baby in Heaven! To the ones who have gone through this, I know your pain. Its real and terrible. I just want you to know you dont have to suffer in pain alone. It is not your fault. We greatly appreciate your prayers as we go through this hard time! Then, in another post from March, the couple thanked their followers for their prayers for their angel baby.
Now, excited and expecting, the couple is feeling blessed for what theyre calling a miracle.
Congratulations to the happy family!
