- Netflix's new docuseries, Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez, premiered this week.
- Soon, people on Twitter started comparing Hernandez's fianc, Shayanna Jenkins, to rapper Lil Bow Wow.
- On Thursday, Jenkins announced on Instagram that she would be taking a break from social media.
Its a crappy side effect of being in the spotlight: No matter who you are, people will start saying mean things about you. Unfortunately, thats whats happening to Aaron Hernandezs former fianc, Shayanna Jenkins , in the wake of the release of the new Netflix docuseries, Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez.
The true crime doc was released on the streaming service earlier this week, and now, people on Twitter are comparing Shayanna to Lil Bow Wow. Because, despite the fact that everyone and their mom knows that cyberbullying isnt okay, people can really, really suck sometimes.
"Bow wow did his thing as Aaron Hernandezs wife in the Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez' Award winning performance!" one person wrote on Twitter .

"#BowWow actually makes a very attractive young lady (who would have thunk it?) @Netflix #aaronhernandeznetflix #AaronHernandez #Netflix," another person wrote.
Soyeah. That happened.
ICYMI, Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez tracks the story of how Aaron Hernandez went from being a star football player for the New England Patriots to being jailed for murder. Shayanna is featured in the documentary as a loyal fianc who stuck by Aarons side throughout his trial and jail time, until his eventual death by suicide.
Despite the ridiculous comments online, Shayanna seems to be happy these days. Shes now the mother of two children (one of which she had with Aaron) and is engaged again.
However, Shayanna did share on Instagram Thursday that she's read everything people have messaged her lately, and she needs a break. "I wanted to let all of you sweet sweet souls know I have tried to read every message sent on IG and through email (positive and negative)," she wrote. "The amount of support and positive energy is again unreal! I'm sure you will all understand how imperative it is to take some time away from social media."
With ridiculous stuff like the Bow Wow comparisons out there, that's more than fair.
