Pluto is going retrograde on April 24, and youre probably going to feel some ~changes~ in your life around this time. Donna Page , a certified astrologer in Atlanta, and Linda Joyce , an astrologer and life coach, break it all down.
What does it mean when Pluto goes retrograde?
Lets start with a little retrograde 101: When a planet goes "retrograde," it looks like it's moving backwards from its usual orbit in the sky, Page explains. And, while that looks pretty sweet, it also means that youll feel the area that particular planet rules a little more strongly. Pluto is all about intensity and digging deep into life, so you can expect to feel a little more angsty around this time, Page says.
What does Pluto in retrograde mean for your sign?
So...yeah. Youre probably going to feel a tad more intense than usual. "Pluto energy brings up a lot of deep stuff within," Page says. You may start to wonder about what youre doing with your life, what you feel passionate about, and the deeper meaning of things, she says.
"When Pluto is in retrograde, you are asked to reflect, to think, to become aware of what you dont see when life is hurrying you down a path toward your goals," Joyce explains. That can impact pretty much every area of your life, like your career path, home, relationships-you name it.
On a lighter note, youll also be inspired to make room for new things, so you may actually get around to cleaning out your closet (finally).
FYI: Plutos retrograde will affect all zodiac signs, but Capricorn and Cancer will feel it the most, Page says.
How will Plutos retrograde impact the rest of your year?
Pluto will be retrograde for about five months until it goes direct in early October, so youll probably be having these deep thoughts for a while. (Luckily, it tends to be most intense when the retrograde first happens, Page says.)
So, take this energy and use it to your advantage. Have a few deep thoughts on where your life is headed and, if youre not down with the direction youre taking, make some changes. After all, shaking things up for the better is never a bad thing.
