Tinsley eloped when she was a teenager.
She and Robert Livingston "Topper" Mortimer met in high school and fell in love. They eloped when they were both 18, but their parents forced them to annul their marriage.
"We watched [Beverly Hills,] 90210, when Andrea got married at the court," Tinsley told Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radziwill on an episode of RHONY . "They went to a court and got married. We were like, 'ding, ding, ding, oh my god we can go to a court and get married and nobody has to know.' So we got married!"
Tinsley married her high school sweethearttwice.
Despite her parents' initial disapproval, she and Topper were determined. The couple later remarried in Richmond. However, their love didn't stand the test of time, and they eventually divorced. They still remain friends many years later.
Tinsley had a tumultuous relationship with Alexander "Nico" Fanjul.
Nico and Tinsley started dating in December 2012. Their relationship was filled with incidents, including alleged abuse, which landed Tinsley in the hospital, according to People . Tinsley was also arrested in April 2016 for allegedly trespassing at Nico's Palm Beach home.
Tinsley met Coupon Cabin CEO Scott Kluth on a blind date.
On February 11, 2017, Tinsley met Scott with RHONY castmate Carole Radziwill on a double blind date, People reported. He lives in Chicago, but that didn't keep the lovebirds from dating. "Scott is amazing," Tinsley said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, per the publication . "Hes an incredible guy, and Im just lucky to have met him. I have a great guy. Its awesome."
Tinsley admitted she likes monogamy.
During an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Tinsley opened up about her views on relationships. "Im not going to lie, Im happy when Im in a relationship," she said. (No shame in your dating game, girl!)
Unfortunately, Tinsley and Scott's relationship is on-again and off-again.
Tinsley may love love, but it's not all smooth sailing with her current man. Her relationship with Scott has brought Tinsley to tears on multiple episodes of RHONY. In a Spring episode, Tinsley cried and, according to People , said: "Hes a very different person than every person Ive ever dated. He has controlling ways about him."
"Its a juggling act," she added at the time. "Every day is a new f*cking headache. I dont know what to do." Still, Tinsley responded to her RHONY castmates' questions, "I love the guy, okay? I dont know what else to say. . Its not fair."
