Tom Brady Just Got Dad-Shamed For Letting His 6-Year-Old Daughter Jump Off A Waterfall Cliff

Tom Brady Criticized For Daughter's Cliff Jumping
  • After Tom Brady posted a video of himself and his 6-year-old daughter Vivian jumping off a waterfall cliff, some fans are criticizing his parenting.
  • While some on social media call for Tom's suspension from the NFL, others don't think it's a big deal.
  • Tom was previously suspended in 2015 for his role in "Deflategate."

People are coming for Tom Brady's parenting skills after the New England Patriots quarterback posted a clip of a waterfall cliff jump he did with his 6-year-old-daughter Vivian to his Instagram over the weekend. (Btw, Vivian's mom is none other than Tom's wife, model Gisele Bundchen .) Some on social media are even suggesting Tom be suspended from the NFL, citing his actions as "child abuse."

So, what exactly went down? Well, from Tom's caption, it seems like he was just trying to have fun on vacation with this daughter. "If Vivi is going to be an Olympic champion one day, it probably wont be in synchronized diving. Daddy always gives her a 10 though! ," he captioned the post.

Tom followed it up with a joking comment: "I didnt want to be the first Brady to fall off a cliff!"

Dwayne The Rock Johnson commented, "You KNOW I have complete faith in you as a man, friend, player and father - but this just gave me anxiety. Geeezus "

And pro surfer Kelly Slater commented, "That shoulder ok? "

Other celebs like Steph Curry, Diddy, and Brett Favre thought it was hilarious, but some of Tom's fans weren't laughing.

One user commented, "Really stupid move so happy your child was not injured. You should not take a life for granted and you did."

And another chimed in, "She's your child Tommy! From what I see that wasn't your best pass. You were a little off."

Then, when ESPN reposted the video to their Twitter, even more people dad-shamed Tom, with some even calling for his suspension from the NFL. "Bad parenting? His daughter almost broke her arm. NFL should consider punishment," one person wrote.

Another said: "Child abuse, year suspension."

Still another added, "If this wasnt Tom Brady, folks will say this child abuse."

Others on Twitter, however, came to Tom's defense, saying he was just having fun and that his daughter wasn't in any real danger.

They are just having fun, wtf!!!!! At least that's a father involved with his kids. Mind your own damn business HOLY MAN (@HOLYMAN49427227) July 21, 2019

At this point, neither the NFL or New England Patriots have taken negative action against Tom. He was previously suspended for four games during the 2015 regular season for his role in "Deflategate."

This isn't the first time Tom has been criticized for his parenting on social media, either. He was called out in 2018 for kissing his son, Jack, on the lips. That, too, divided peoplewhile many thought it was inappropriate, others didn't understand what the big deal was.

It seems like the same divide is happening all over again with this video. Tom has yet to respond to his followers, but it's definitely caused a serious rift in the comments section.
