While Joe Exotic is undeniably the "Tiger King" in the Netflix docuseries making everyone's lives a little more colorful, the supporting cast of characters are equally interesting. Just take Bhagavan Doc Antle , Joe's mentor, who operates a 50-acre wildlife preserve in South Myrtle Beach, called The Institute for Greatly Endangered and Rare Species, a.k.a. T.I.G.E.R.S.
By now, you've probably picked up on the fact that Joe Exotic has had four husbands over the years (including two of them at the same time), but he's not the only one with a wild love life. The Netflix show also suggests that Doc Antle has three wives.
At his T.I.G.E.R.S. preserve, there's Rajnee and Moksha, whom he refers to as his "girls." And Doc Antle says himself that he also has a "long-time girlfriend partner" in China.
Still, Doc Antle claims he's not married at all.
"When I say 'my girl,' its a cowboy saying, its not that these are my wives," he told Oxygen . "Sure I've had girlfriends and theres girls I have had relationships with that have come and gone over the decades."
"I am absolutely not married nor have I been since my wife died over 20 years ago now," he added. "Im not married and I certainly dont have wives. I certainly am a single guy and I live in a house by myself."
Meanwhile, both he and Carole Baskin , the almost-victim of Joe Exotic's murder plot, have expressed their disappointment with the series.
Doc claimed on Instagram that the show's producers told him "they were making an educational series about wildlife conservation....What they produced was clearly not an educational series about conservation," and had he known what the show was about, he would not have participated.
