Former champ reveals her teeth were damaged from fight with Holly Holm
In her first interview after the loss, Rousey revealed that she lost some teeth from the fight against Holm.
Rousey lost her UFC women's bantamweight title on Sunday, November 15 in Melbourne, Australia and was sent to the hospital afterwards.
“(I’m) really (expletive) sad,” Rousey told ESPN the Magazine - she covers the December edition.
“It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact.”
The 28-year-old suffered a severe split lip in the UFC 193 bout, which UFC President Dana White said he brought a plastic surgeon in to fix.
The UFC currently has Rousey under medical suspension, which could last up to six months.
President White, who has guaranteed Rousey a rematch already, doesn’t know when she’ll be back.
“You have to give Ronda the time,” White recently said.
“When Ronda is ready to come back. There’s literally no pressure on her whatsoever to think about anything as far as fighting goes.”
In the meantime, Rousey is still busy outside boxing as she is filming.
Rousey will play the lead in the remake of Patrick Swayze’s classic 'Road House,' as well as star alongside Mark Wahlburg in a film called 'Mile 22.'
