Angel di Maria won the Goal of the Season ahead of Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho's strike against Southampton

Manchester United forward, Angel di Maria has won the English Premier League Goal of the Season with his scooped lob against Leicester City.

After a receiving a pass on the edge of the 18-yard-box, the Argentine lifted a lob pass Leicester City goalkeeper in Manchester United 3-5 defeat in September 2014.

The former Real Madrid forward won the award ahead of Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho's strike against Southampton in the final round of voting on the Premier League's official Twitter page.

To get to the final, Di Maria's goal won the vote ahead of Jermain Defoe's strike against Newcastle United and Charlie Adam's effort inside his own half against Chelsea.

Di Maria who has revealed that he will remain at Manchester United, has joined up with his Argentine National teammates ahead of this summer's Copa America this summer.
