John Mahama and former presidents Jerry John Rawlings and John Agyekum Kufour attended Stephen Appiah's testimonial match as he bid farewell after years of playing for the Black Stars and qualifying Ghana to its first World Cup in 2006 as captain.
The occasion was graced by many high profile stars of past and present eras including Samuel Eto'o, Samuel Osei Kuffour and current captain of the national team Asamoah Gyan.
Nigerian actor Ramsey Noah also made an appearance.
