Akufo-Addo visits family of late Kwabena Boadu

Akufo-Addo in a tribute to him, described the 29-year-old as an “intelligent young man with a bright future.”

In a Facebook post, Akufo-Addo said: "This evening, I visited the family of the late Kwabena Boadu, Press Secretary to my running mate, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who passed away sadly on Thursday, November 24, 2016. I extended my deepest condolences to the family, and consoled them on their loss.

"May God bless him and give his soul peaceful rest until the last day of the Resurrection when we shall all meet again. Amen!"

He was accompanied to the deceased family house by the party's National Youth Organiser, Sammy Awuku, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, NPP running mate,Osafo Marfo, Fadi Dabbousi, and his aides.

Akufo-Addo promised to  pay for the entire funeral Cost and any project snr Boadu started for his family.

Bawumia in an emotional tribute to his former aide said he is "devastated. It is just unbelievable. May his soul rest in perfect peace."

Samira Bawumia, wife of Dr Bawumia also eulogised him.

In a Facebook post, she wrote: "Yesterday was a very sad day for all of us. My husband's Press Secretary, Kwabena Boadu passed on. He was an intelligent, hard working young man and was liked by everyone. My deepest condolences to his family. We mourn with you all. May his soul rest in peace."

And Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo, wife of Nana Akufo-Addo, described him as an "extremely talented young patriot."

"It's been a sad day as we have lost one of our own. Kwabena Boadu, aide to Dr. Bawumia was a young and extremely talented patriot. You have come far with us and your work will not be in vain. God be with you till we meet again," she wrote on Facebook.
