The conference which was on the theme "The Impact of Socio-economic Trends on the Future of Finance and Business in Africa" brought together nearly 800 delegates from across the African continent, including 70 members from Ghana.
ACCA Ghana Delegation visits Ghana High Commission in Ethiopia
The conference was on the theme "The Impact of Socio-economic Trends on the Future of Finance and Business in Africa."
In attendance was the ACCA Global Council President Leo Lee who was hosted by the Director for Africa Jamil Ampomah.
Speakers at the event included Prof. Nii Quaynor, Prof. Lovemore Mbigi, Prof. Patrick Lumumba, Mr. Mpare, Vickson Ncube, FCCA, Vusi Thembekwayo and Haile Gebr Selassie.
The Ghana Delegation led by the Head of ACCA Ghana Doris Ahiati and Network Panel Members for ACCA Ghana with Milana Agyemang representing the Panel president Wisdom Nuworkpor paid a courtesy call on the Ghana High Commission in Ethiopia after the conference.
In his address, the Ambassador His Excellency Ambassador William Awindor represented by his deputy Head of Mission Mr. Henry Tachie-Menson highlighted the critical role Ghana continues to play in the integration of Africa through the mission in Ethiopia which headquarters the Africa Union.

Doris Ahiati in thanking the mission indicated ACCA's commitment to developing the accountancy profession the digital economy needs, the reason for introducing changes to the ACCA qualification to make it relevant for the future and emphasized the contribution of its members especially of the visiting delegation of senior managers from both public and private sectors to economic growth.
Milana Agyeman on her part assured the mission of the readiness and dedication of ACCA members to use their professional skills to contribute to the socio-economic development of Ghana and Africa at large.
Fellows of ACCA Mr. Perbi, Mr. Saganthan Allotey, Mr. Isaac Nyame, Mr. Thomas Abobi, Mr. Michael Klutse and Ms. Irislyn Cobblah were among the 70 prominent members of the Ghana Delegation. Kwaku Annim-Boadu, Education Manager for ACCA Ghana was also with the delegation.
