Violent protests hit offices of Metro Mass over MD's $108,000 vehicle

According to the workers, the company has sanctioned the purchase of $108,000 luxurious vehicle for the Managing Director when over 100 buses required urgent maintenance.

The workers, who were clad in red with others wielding placards said the government must with immediate effect stop the purchase of the vehicle.

They also complained about salary arrears which are having a toll on their livelihood.

The situation is no different in Kumasi, where reports say that scores of commuters who are hoping to come to Accra have been left stranded because the drivers have parked and abandoned the vehicles over the protest.

The management of the company is yet to comment on the development.
