New Government NPP’s maiden budget ready by March 2017 - Bawumia

Dr Bawumia said promises made by Nana Addo during his campaign will be factored into the 2017 budget.

The incoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) government’s maiden budget statement will be ready in March 2017.

This hint was dropped by the incoming Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia when president-elect Nana Akufo-Addo paid a courtesy call on the Nayiri Abdulai Mahami Bohagu Sheriga as part of his three-day “Thank you tour” of the three regions of the north.

He assured the chiefs that the promises made by Nana Addo during his campaign will be fulfilled. He added that the named promises will be factored into the 2017 budget.

“I want to assure the people of Mamprugu, the people of Northern Ghana and the people of Ghana as a whole that the promises Nana Akufo Addo will be fulfilled.”

“We are going to work very hard and the focus is on jobs for our youth and we are going to make sure we implement all our policies to address the needs of the people.”

He urged all to in peace since they can deliver on their promises fully if there is harmony in the society and country at large.

The overlord of Mamprugu land, the Nayiri Abdulai Mahami Bohagu Sheriga encouraged Nana Akufo-Addo to remain focused in his line of duty. He said this will allow him to honor his promises to the Ghanaian people.
