The State Transport Corporation(STC), Metro Mass Transit (MMT) and Aayalolo Transport System have told Accra-based local radio station, Onua FM, that the 15 per cent increment will not affect them.

Transport operators in consultation with the Ministry of Transport announced a 15 per cent increment in transport fares Monday to take effect from Thursday, April 6.

The fares cover intra-city, inter-city and taxi operations.

Communications Manager for Ayalolo Transport System, Fred Chidi also says the increment will not affect customers who use their bus services. Ms. Bernice Akologo, Communications Manager for the MMT, also told Onua FM “the increment will not affect our fares. Our fares are the same.”
