BOG Governor must step down immediately - Dr. Opoku Prempeh

Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has asked for the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Henry Wampah to step down over the Microfinance Scandals that have rocked the country.

He made the call on the floor of parliament when the Governor was summoned to brief the house on the circumstances surrounding the squandering of depositors’ money by DKM, Jasta Motors, and God is Love Fun club.

According to Dr. Opoku Prempeh, Dr.  Wampah must stand down as he and the Central Bank’s lack of supervision of microfinance companies led to the loss of huge sums of money belonging to customers

Tax stamp: Gov’t urged to hasten slowly on implementation

President of the Association of Ghana Industries, James Asare-Adjei has urged government to hasten slowly on the implementation of the tax stamp policy.

According to the AGI, the association has been against the implementation of the tax stamps.
