Minister calls for long-term financing for Agriculture

Dr. Ahmed Yakubu Alhassan, the Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture, has called for long term financing in the agriculture sector to expand production from subsistence farming into commercial venture as well as create employment and ensure food security. Speaking at the launch of a commercial agriculture investment guide for the northern savannah ecological zone of the country in Accra, Dr. Ahmed said appropriate financing was needed to enhance the economic fortunes of the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA)

Head of Supervision at the Bank of Ghana in charge of non- banking financial institutions, Mr. Amanfo has charged the public to help the Bank of Ghana locate the property of DKM Mcrofinance, God is Love Fun Club, Juster Motors and other companies who are believed to have squandered investments of depositors in the Brong Ahafo Region and other parts of the country.

Speaking to the gathering at a forum organized by the Bank of Ghana in Sunyani to address concerns of customers in the region, Mr. Amanfo said customers will get their monies once the assets and property of DKM and their owners are liquisdted.
