Vodafone laments cable theft

In an interview Accra based Citi FM, the Corporate Communications Manager of Vodafone, Mr. Ebenezer Amankwa explained that the activities of cable thieves affect “all of us,” adding that “Their actions are a setback to national development.”

Vodafone Ghana has lamented about cable theft in its operations, saying it is a “disincentive” to providing quality service to its customers.

The government will not hesitate to revoke the free zones license given to companies that are found to be maltreating Ghanaian workers, Minister of Labour and Employment Relations, Haruna Iddrisu, has said.

Speaking at the inauguration of the board of the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission, Iddrisu said his Ministry is currently looking into all issues of worker maltreatment by foreign companies operating in Ghana.
