We are not shedding load- GRIDCO
The company has been experiencing intermittent power shortages lately due to a disruption in the production of Gas from the FPSO Kwame Nkrumah.
There’s no need for a load shedding exercise in spite of current disruptions in power supply, according to the Ghana Grid Company.
According to the Chairman of the Load Shedding Committee, William Amuna, power providers have not considered implementing any load-shedding exercise due to the early rains which are expected to improve hydroelectric power generation.
High cost of power threatening businesses - Ndoum
Chairman of GroupeNdoum, Dr Paa Kwasi Ndoum, has said businesses are reeling under high electricity tariffs, adding that it is threatening the survival and growth of businesses.
Speaking at a lecture organised by the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UNER) in Sunyani, Ndoum said quote "per current situation, we have exchanged one problem for another-- no power for high cost of power." Unquote.
