Why I would choose a female manager over a male any day

My belief here is simple, I think women make better managers and mostly better corporate leaders than men. They are most naturally wired for the role, and can go on to be fantastic at it with adequate training.

Well, if it's any consolation, the author of this article is one of those men who have been  strong believers of gender fairness, but is beginning to feel that women now just want female supremacy. So I assure you this article is not a campaign for female supremacy at all, but just a statement of careful observations and harmless opinion.

Here are six summarized observations backed with research that buttress this candid opinion of mine.

1. Better  Communicators

Women are better- wired communicators than most men naturally are. Women are more discussion- oriented, whereas men are predominantly action-oriented. This has been found to be an important skill in modern management and leadership because the millennial worker wants his point of view heard, and the modern customer wants her service providers to empathize with her problems. Women are more likely to build better relationships based on mutual trust.

Research done by Gallup has revealed that people who work for female bosses are 6% more engaged than those who work for a male manager. And female employees who work for a female manager are the most engaged of any group of workers.

2. Female managers have better business ethics

Female managers will generally not like to take threatening risks that will likely land their businesses in trouble. They are therefore the least likely to contravene the ethic of the business.

In contrast, most male managers will not hesitate to sacrifice some ethics if it will tremendously affect the bottom line, save the company, or just because they can.

3. Employees are likely to be more motivated under a female boss than a male boss

Female managers most likely surpass their male counterparts in the area of nurturing the potential of their employees and their teams.

Again according to Gallup, Employees who work for a female manager are 1.26
times more likely than those who work for a male boss to strongly agree that "There is someone at work who encourages my development."

This suggests that female managers likely surpass their male counterparts in cultivating potential in others and helping to define a bright future for their employees.

And not only do female managers encourage progress, they are found to be better at taking personal interest in the development of their employees.

4. Employees feel more appreciated under female bosses

Employees who work for a female manager are 1.17 times more likely than those with a male manager to strongly agree
that "In the last seven days, I have received recognition or praise for doing good work."- Gallup Survey.

This suggests that female managers surpass male managers in providing positive feedback that helps employees feel valued for their everyday contributions.

The report says. "It also indicates that female managers may be better than male managers at helping their employees harness the power of positive reinforcement."

5. Innate Leaders

Women all their lives are expected to handle various responsibilities

Women are the ones who are expected to handle various responsibilities from  childhood which makes them  good multi-taskers. This potential is transferred to their business management roles that ensures that whether they are managers in big corporation or managers of their own homes, they carry out responsibility with relative ease.Female managers are most likely more patient in difficult situations and are able to manage crisis in a positive and calm manner. This is contrary to the belief that women are emotional wrecks in times of crisis

6. Female managers are more assertive

This is with the background that women are better communicators than men in a management position.  The result of which is that they can better say what is necessary to be said, achieving the same results as a bossy male manager will, without the disrespect and berating of the employee.

So it appears women have naturally won the battle for equality in management in terms of their abilities to be better managers. All they need is  the confidence of society and an opportunity to prove themselves.
