Tang Palace opens in Ghana; Major tourism boost

Ghana’s tourism and hospitality Industry is expected to witness the addition of another hotel brand this week as Tang Palace Hotel opens its doors to clients.

Known as the Tang Palace hotel, it’s located close to Gold House at South Airport Residential Area within 2 km from the Kotoka International Airport and 8km from the city centre.

Rated four-star, the state-of-the art facilities at the hotel is expected to among Accra’s number one luxurious hotels constructed with a palatial glitz and glamour.

Speaking to journalists after a ceremony to outdoor the hotel Wednesday, Director of Sales and Marketing, Ekow Eyeson-Ghansah noted that the birth of Tang Palace Hotel is designed for the needs of today’s global traveler.

Mr. Eyeson-Ghansah entreated the public to expect nothing but exceptional personalized service when the hotel becomes fully operational with its modern 112 bedrooms and contemporary guest rooms and suites later this week.

He observed that the hotel is a haven of new luxury in the neighborhood of many international organizations, duty free shops, business centers, recreation centers, etc. amidst the south airport residential area.

According to a Bank of Ghana report the industry is currently the third largest foreign exchange earner after merchandise exports and remittances from abroad and has become one of the most important and fastest growing sectors of the Ghanaian economy. Tourism receipts were  forecasted to reach $1.5 billion by end 2007
