A group of men suspected to be land guards on Wednesday morning stormed the Ojobi Police Station in the Central region and brutally assaulted some police officers on duty.

It is still not clear what triggered the attack but Accra-based Kasapa FM reports that two civilians were also attacked in the process.

A police officer and two other people were reportedly stabbed and have been sent to the hospital for treatment.

The police officer was, however, able to call for reinforcement where six people were subsequently arrested.
