Nayele’s Accomplices Denied Bail

An Accra circuit court has denied bail for the alleged accomplices of Nayele Ametefe on Friday, December 12.

The court presided over by Justice Francis Obiri has fused a bail application filed by the alleged accomplices of Ruby Adu Gyamfi alias Nayele Ametefe, the woman who was busted in the UK for carrying a suspected illegal substance said to be cocaine.

The accused persons, Alhaji Dawood, a businessman, Nana Akua Amponsah and Sadalia Sandra Nuhu and other three officials of the Kotoka International Airport, are facing prosecution charges in Ghana for the role they played in aiding Nayele Ametefe to transport 12kg cocaine into the UK.

During proceedings in court on Friday, lawyers for the accused persons argued that the facts as presented by the prosecution did not support the charges proffered against their clients.

The case has been adjourned to December 22.
