Stop The Cock And Bull Stories - NPP Tells Hannah Tetteh

Deputy Minority Leader and Member of Parliament for Bimbila, Dominic Nitiwul could not fathom why government wants to dabble in "such an embarrassing act".

The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has described as cock and bull story claims by Foreign Minister, Hanna Tetteh that the cocaine suspect did not know she was transporting the narcotic drug.

Hanna Tetteh in an interview with Accra-based Radio Gold on Tuesday said the lady also revealed that an airport ground staff, who she does not know - brought the bag containing the drugs aboard the plane and handed it over to her.

According to Ms. Tetteh, the cocaine suspect said she accepted the consignment without knowing its content because the reward was huge.

But the NPP said this narration by the foreign minister is an attempt by government to throw dust into the eyes of Ghanaians.

He said everyone is at risk because the recent cocaine bust has dented Ghana’s international image.

“If we are not careful the president will go and they will ask him to remove his shoes and panties,” he added.

THe Deputy Minority leader wondered how Nayele Ametepeh also known as Ruby Adu- Gyamfi got access to the VVIP lounge at the Kotoka International airport when even Members of Parliament are not allowed to pass there.

“Even as an MP I doesn’t know how the VVIP looks like; so who gave this lady the authority to use that lounge” he quizzed.
