"NDC Is Using Best Approach To Tackle It" - Hon Mahama Ayariga

The current Ghanaian government has been under much scrutiny from Ghanaians over the rampant formation of committees to no apparent avail.

Ghanaian Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Mahama Ayariga has come out to rubbish claim that the NDC government is overlooking corruption to a point of almost supporting it.

The Minister who spoke at the launch of the International Students' Day at the University of Professional Studies, Madina, retorted that the John Mahama-led administration was using the best approach in exposing the systematic nature of corruption through transparent committees and commissions of inquiry. Hon Mahama Ayariga today launched the International Students Day. The function was organized by the All African Students Union and the National Union of Ghana Students at the University of Professional Studies in Accra.

Hon. Ayariga assured the students that every effort is being made to develop the capacity of regulatory institutions to police the quality of education at all levels, he urged student leaders to be alive to their responsibility to monitor education delivery at all levels. He said that greater accountability must be demanded of those delivering education services.

Touching on corruption, Hon Mahama Ayariga argued that President John Dramani Mahama’s approach of exposing the systemic nature of corruption through publicized transparent committees and commissions of Inquiry is the best since “sunlight is the best disinfectant”. Corruption is not being swept under the carpet. It is thoroughly and publicly investigated to expose the sophistication and full character of corruption. However, once prosecution starts the courts take full control of the process.
