4 Fame Shipping Company donates to Ayirebi Huda Islamic School

Ayirebi Huda Islamic School gets support from Mr John Obiri Yeboah, CEO of Joy 4 Fame Shipping Company

Mr John Obiri Yeboah, CEO of Joy 4 Fame Shipping Company, as part of his philanthropic work, has donated building materials to the Ayirebi Huda Islamic School. The donation was part of his commitment to build a classroom block for the school’s kindergarten classes.

The items include one trip of sand, two packets of iron sheets, and 10 bags of cement. Presenting the items, Mr Yeboah said he was moved by the condition of the pupils and the classroom in which they were studying some years ago when he visited his mother, who was then a teacher at the school.

“The classroom where my mother was teaching was nothing to write home about; additionally, the conditions of the pupils in the class were equally disheartening. Some of these little ones were sitting on the bare floor.”

John, who completed his primary and junior high education at the school, said that was what made him decide to come back home to help, adding that education was very important in the development of a child and the conditions under which they study also go a long way to that effect.

He said three years ago he donated school desks and 10 sets of computers to the school to provide some comfort for the pupils and also to help the children in their quest to study Information Communication Technology (ICT).

“As a people, we cannot always be waiting for government and authorities to do things for us; sometimes it is very important that we come together to help ourselves, so I’m inviting parents and all those who can help in one way or the other to come together and help develop the school,” Mr Yeboah said.

He told parents present that the pupils were the future leaders of the community, and advised them to be interested in every aspect of the children’s development and also encourage their children to aspire for greater things in life.

Mr Kwesi Kyei Ntiamoah said he was excited about the visit and the donation; Mr Yeboah has delivered every promise he has made to the school in connection with the education of the children.

Over three years, he has provided tables and chairs for the pupils and also donated 10 computers to the school. The Headmaster promised to use the materials to provide quality education for the pupils. For her part, Madam Felicia Oklu, Ayirebi Circuit Supervisor at the Ghana Education Service, thanked Mr Yeboah for his generosity and for having the children at heart.

She advised parents to bring their children of school-going age to school. She said basic education was important in the life of children and their development, and added that it was important for children to have some educational training before going to class one --the reason for the introduction of kindergarten in schools.

The building, if completed, would provide some sort of haven for the children.

Mr Obiri Yeboah also cut the sod for the commencement of the building.

He also organised a football gala among the neighbouring communities to reward some talents.
