Nigerian Defence official website hacked, 'ISIS-style'

According to the Defence headquarters spokesperson, General Chris Olukolade, the website has since been restored after a "Network Breach".

The Nigerian Defence's official website was hacked and defaced today by unknown cyber attackers.

According to the Defence headquarters spokesperson, General Chris Olukolade, the website has since been restored after a "Network Breach".

However, a suspected Islamist, Ima Sadiq, has claimed responsibility for the hack via Twitter.

The Nigerian Defence have since acknowledged Sadiq's claims, saying that the hack was carried out "ISIS-style attempt," by an Indonesian Boko Haram/ISIS member using a Twitter handle named Mansiak k4sur.

Mansiak k4sur is also said to be responsible for the defacing of 2 major police and NASA websites in the U.S.
