Nkrumah suppressed free thinking in Ghana, veteran journalist claims
According to the Daily Guide Columnist, Nkrumah's opposition to free thinking among Ghanaians made him a bad leader.

But he was quick to add that if the former president is evaluated on his infrastructure development, he'd rank as a good leader.
He made the comments in a broadcast interview when he was asked whether Nkrumah was a good leader.

"[Nkrumah] had a plan, and he believed in planning, he knew what he wanted to do, he built the Akosombo Dam to provide electricity to power factories all over the place so that we could become industrialised,” he told The Lounge hosted by Kweku Sekyi Addo on GHOne Tv.
He continued: “And he built things like the Accra-Tema motorway, it’s still working today. If he had money to do that of Accra-Kumasi just imagine the number of lives that would have been saved and the amount of commerce that would have taken place, more easily than we do now.”“A very bad leader in that he suppressed or tried to suppress the free thinking that Ghanaians love so much.”
