Professor Alex Dodoo who is also the Head of the Global Vaccines Safety Initiative was last week dragged before the Committee after criticizing MPs of being uninformed about the Ebola vaccine trial.
The WHO staff is scheduled to appear before the Committee on Thursday, July 23, 2015, according to a letter addressed to him.
“You are kindly invited to attend Parliament on Thursday 23rd July, 2015 at noon in connection with the alleged contemptuous remarks you made against Members of Parliament (MPs) on the suspended phase one Ebola Vaccine trial in the country.
Again you are kindly reminded of your right to be represented by a counsel of your choice on the said date and time,” the letter indicated.
The lecturer incurred the wrath of the lawmakers following his claim that MPs are “ignorant” and lacked knowledge on the Ebola vaccine trial which was scheduled to take place in Ghana.
He apologised to Parliament for describing them as “ignorant” when he appeared before them on July 14.
It is unclear why the Scientist has been re-invited.
